The Insurance School of the Pacific

    The Insurance School of the Pacific was founded in 1963 to provide insurance education to staff of Japanese property and casualty insurance companies, their agents and other insurance professionals.

    For forty years, IEA has provided a broad-based curriculum to Japanese insurance professionals on an annual basis. Each year, a group of Asian students visit the U.S. for a period of four to five weeks during which they are provided with seminars, field visits tutorials as well as the opportunity to interact with U.S. insurance professionals and their culture.

The Pacific Insurance Agent Seminar

    Initiated in 1978, this program provides short-term (3 days) intensive training to Japanese insurance agents. Based in San Francisco, this training covers a range of topics including distribution systems, product lines, insurance contracts, risk management, and agency computer systems and software.

Japan

    IEA currently delivers the Associate in Risk Management program online to a wide range of insurance students in Japan. This convenient delivery mechanism allows students to access IEA's expert faculty and training resources from the comfort of their own home or office. Other online programs are available. China
    IEA currently offers up-to-the-minute exam preparation for the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) examinations. Students benefit from the vast experience of IEA faculty in preparing thousands of applicants to pass the National Exams for CPCU as well as other widely renowned U.S. designation programs.

    Expert instructors present seminars focusing on a range of subject areas such as risk management, reinsurance, United States legal system, civil law, and a range of underwriting and coverage issues.
