General Insurance Program (INS)
What is INS?Developed by the Insurance Institute of America, the INS program deals with principles of insurance, the provisions of some of the most widely used personal and commercial property and liability contracts as well as life and health policies, and the relationship between insurance theory and practice. Prerequisites
INTRO - Introduction to Property and Liability Insurance is recommended for people with less than 6 months industry experience.

- INS 21 - Property and Liability Insurance Principles
- INS 22 - Personal Insurance
- INS 23 - Commercial Insurance
Who will benefit?
- Persons in all technical insurance positions whose jobs require an understanding of insurance functions and contracts.
- Insurance personnel who have some knowledge of insurance practices but who have not had formal study of the insurance principles that underlie those practices.
A Professional Certificate Program
Students who pass the three national exams earn the Certificate in General Insurance.
CPCU Waiver
Completion of the INS program waives CPCU 553 and 557
