New Changes for CPCU

Insurance Institute Announces Changes to CPCU Effective July 2010, the CPCU program now allows for personal choice in elective programs so that you can tailor your studies toward your own unique needs. Foundation courses are still required for all candidates - 5 in total - however the fifth course is an elective which can be chosen from a range of different titles.

CPCU 520 Insurance Operations, Regulation, and Statutory Accounting
CPCU 530 The Legal Environment of Risk Management and Insurance
CPCU 540 Fundamentals of Corporate Finance
CPCU 560 Financial Services Institutions or ANY OF THESE ELECTIVES

Commercial or Personal Concentration
In addition to Five foundation courses which are common to all candidates, students have the option to concentrate on Commercial or on Personal topics as appropriate.
