AIS

An Educational Program in Insurance Principles and Practices
Individuals who earn the Associate in Insurance Services designation will have demonstrated a knowledge of insurance principles and practices, a wide range of the most popular insurance contracts, the terms, tools, and ideas of total quality management and how they can be applied to the insurance business.

Earning the Designation
Earn the designation by passing the exams for the following:

AIS 25-Delivering Insurance Services
plus exams for one of the following programs offered by IEA

AIC - Associate in Claims
ARM - Associate in Risk Management
CPCU 510, 520, 551, 552, and 553 or CPCU 510, 520, 555, 556, and 557
AINS - Program in General Insurance

You can also earn your AIS designation by taking AIS 25 along with

Accredited Adviser in Insurance (AAI)
Associate in Commercial Underwriting (AU)
Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bonding (AFSB)
Associate in Marine Insurance Management (AMIM)
Associate in Personal Insurance (API)
Associate in Premium Auditing (APA)
Associate in Reinsurance (ARe)
Associate in Surplus Lines Insurance (ASLI)

The National Examination
The Delivering Insurance Services exam is given upon your request. You can take it when you're ready. Your supervisor, human resources director, or another appropriate person can administer the exam. It is a multiple-choice exam, and you have two hours to complete it.

By earning your AIS designation with IEA, you benefit from the best of two worlds - approved AICPCU curriculum, and the real world experience of IEA instructors. You'll work with a professional organization that has extensive experience in preparing students to become qualified participants in their areas of interest, and helping them to pass required exams.
