Guidelines for instructors regarding natural disasters or other calamitous events
  • In the event of a natural disaster or other such calamitous event, instructors are directed to contact IEA's Curriculum Director, curriculum@ieatraining.com.

  • A phone call (800)655-4432 is permitted; however, make sure to clearly state your e-mail address so you may receive further information and attachments.

  • Your class coordinator should also be notified at classes@ieatraining.com or for CPDM students, cpdm@ieatraining.com.

  • In the event that your group cannot meet, please visit www.freeconference.com and create your account (located under the login icon on the navigation bar on the left side of the site). Once you create your login information you must then click on the login icon/wording to set up your telelearning class session. (Use the standard reservation option not the "800 number", or "reservation-less" option.

  • Create your class telelearning session at www.freeconference.com following these directions:-

    • Use the "Web-Scheduled Standard" class meeting option to create your telelearning session. Do not choose the "reservation-less" or the "800 number" option.

    • Choose "Conversation Mode", and "Session begins when organizer enters the conference option"

    • Instructors should send out their own e-mail message advising students of the meeting, phone number, and access code vs. using the e-mailing capability on the web-site

    • Be sure you have a copy of the class student data sheets at home and at your office to ensure that you can obtain student e-mail addresses.

The telelearing/phone-bridge number will cost callers $2.10 to $6.00 per hour depending on the long distance plan they subscribe to. IEA cannot reimburse any phone expenses. The phone number will be a long distance call to the phone-bridge location in the United States.

The freeconference system is very intuitive, but if you have any questions please contact IEA's Curriculum Director (curriculum@ieatraining.com) for assistance.
