CO148: E & O Claims: What You Can Do To Reduce Them



Description: Participants will study the duties that agents and brokers owe to consumers, carriers, and third parties. They will also examine actions they can take to fulfill these obligations. This will result in fewer uncovered claims for the public and fewer E & O claims for the licensees.

  • Duties owed by broker/agents to the public and to insurance carriers: tort, contractual, and fiduciary
  • Correct procedures for placement with non-admitted insurers
  • Proper procedures for handling new placements and renewals
  • Proper file documentation procedures
