CA 16B: Permanent Disability Rating and AMA Guides - Advanced



Description: This advanced course covers permanent disability rating of complex and non-scheduled disabilities. The methodology of rating permanent disabilities from impairments occurring after January 1, 2005 is taken from the AMA Guide, 5th edition. This course provides an overview of the fine points of rating including concepts, terms, and procedures. Also included are pain rating add-ons, bilateral, ambidextrous, MDT, overlapping and other multiple disabilities and review work on the utilization of information outside of the schedule, including administrative protocols for physicians, lawyers and other resources. This course is designed for experienced claims and legal personnel. Special emphasis is focused on use of actual medical reports. Text required is "Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment" by Gunnar A.J. Andersson, 5th edition, ISBN 1-57947-085-8. Order from www.amazon.com or www.ama-assn.org.
