Associate in Risk Pool Management
Designation Program

The Associate in Risk Pool Management designation curriculum provides risk pool managers and prospective risk pool managers with theoretical and practical knowledge needed to successfully manage the risk pool. This program is largely self-directed and will take approximately two years to complete. Many of the modules are available in online as well as classroom format.   Most of the curriculum for this program is provided through existing IEA/IIA certification programs (ARM, CPCU, INS) with additional training in the practical aspects of risk pool management provided by the California Association of Joint Powers Authority (CAJPA).

    Requires completion of the following FIVE semester-long courses:

    ARM 54 - Risk Assessment

    ARM 55 - Risk Control

    ARM 56 - Risk Financing
    ARPM 601- Essentials in Risk Pool Management
    ARPM 602- Business Related Work Project

    Because this program is developed and maintained by IEA and CAJPA, the designation is expected to have great value and credibility in the risk pool community. The program is largely self-directed and many modules are available in online as well as classroom format.
