Roy brings more than thirty years of industry experience to IEA, having served in executive roles with Cigna, Argonaut, and Fireman's Fund. His diverse background also includes executive positions with industry service providers Pinkerton's (security and investigations), ePolicy Solutions (technology) and Frye Claims (claims adjusting and third party administration). He has been the CFO of four companies or divisions, SVP and general manager of two major insurance businesses, insurance practice director for a successful technology start up, and President of a claims company.
Roy is committed to maintaining the highest quality educational and customer service standards at IEA while expanding IEA's customer reach into new geographic areas and new customer groups. Having earned his MBA while on active duty with the Air Force, he understands the unique dynamics of professional education while working full-time. Roy is a member of the California Department of Insurance Curriculum Board and is actively involved in the activities of the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation.

As Sales Director, John's focus is in assisting IEA member companies and associations implement in-house training programs. In addition to promoting the benefits of IEA membership, he also coordinates our sales and marketing initiatives as IEA expands beyond its traditional West Coast presence. John holds a Master of Science degree in Financial Services.

David began his insurance career with Aetna Life & Casualty in 1971. He joined IEA first as a faculty member in 1979, and later became a full-time staff member.
In his role as Curriculum Director, David develops new course material, and has been at the forefront of IEA's transition into online learning and other alternative formats.
As an active participant in the insurance community, he has served as Chapter President of the Golden Gate CPCU Chapter and continues to demonstrate commitment to the industry as one of IEA's leading and most respected instructors.
Martha Cockrell

Martha has been with IEA for more than 20 years and has been involved in many aspects of our operation. She started in 1985 as seminar Program Coordinator and made the transition to seminar Manager. She then was promoted to Director of Programs, responsible for overseeing all semester, workshop, prelicensing and in-house/joint sponsored programs encompassing all of IEA's operating territory. Martha's current roles include Marketing Manager and Director of Operations for IEA.

Joseph T. Conroy has extensive industry experience spanning over 20 years with
different insurance firms. Joe has underwriting and finance experience in both
personal and commercial lines and has also worked closely with sales and agency
management.
Joe received his MBA from the University of San Francisco and graduated from
The College of Insurance, NY with his BBA. He is a candidate for the designation
of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter.
