Victor F. Lorch, ARM, MBA

Victor Lorch as been teaching for IEA since 1992. He has over 30 years experience in the insurance industry. The last 13 years have been in the area of public entity risk management. Prior to his career in risk management he spent 15 years in various roles as a claims adjuster, claim supervisor, and general adjuster for several major insurance companies. He entered the insurance profession as a multi-line field claims adjuster for Safeco Insurance and ended his claims career with CNA Insurance. In addition to teaching risk management both online and in the classroom, Vic has taught the California 52 hour agent/broker prelicensing course, and developed the Flood Insurance seminar. Prior to teaching for IEA, he was an instructor in the insurance department for Santa Ana Community College. During the Vietnam War, he taught remedial reading to Air Force personnel as part of the Armed Forces Project 100,000 program in England and Spain. In addition to his ARM designation and Certificate in General Insurance, he is a licensed property/casualty and life broker owning M.R. Lorch Risk Management Consulting and Insurance Agency in Hemet, California. Recently, Vic was recognized by the Insurance Institute of America as an Outstanding Course Leader Level Five, the only instructor to achieve that honor in Southern California last year. The award is bestowed upon instructors who consistently maintain a higher than average passing ratio for students taking the Insurance Institute of America national exams.
